“Contact with an environment imbued with beauty not only offers protection from impurity, baseness, brutality, all forms of narcissism, and untruthfulness; it also elevates us morally. It opens our hearts, invites us to transcendence, and leads us into “Conspectu Dei” (before the face of God). Dietrich von Hildebrandt
Growing up across three continents and learning to speak four languages taught me early on that beauty is a universal language. For a long time, my creativity expressed itself through music—playing the piano and violin—and through the delicate art of pastry baking. In fact, fine art and opening a pastry shop were always neck-and-neck contenders for my life’s passion.
After spending time as a kindergarten teacher, I chose to step away from the classroom to homeschool my three daughters. It was during these quiet, intentional years of teaching that my relationship with the natural world truly deepened. Together, we didn’t just look at nature—we learned to observe it.
That deep, patient observation is what flows into my botanical watercolor paintings today. Through vibrant colors and soft light, I capture the intricate, peaceful details of the world around us. Thank you for welcoming a piece of my quiet life and love for nature into your home.
